Just the guy I was trolling for ;)  Watched the 3 minute preview and it looks great!  Didn't play the first one but may have to rectify that.

^You can get it on pretty good discount these days. The game's boss system is one of legend and in the upcoming game they look to have evolved it even further, assembling armies, taking fortresses, sieges...can't wait for that release. That's why I pre-ordered :)

I loved the first one like cake. While it.... jussssst barely fits into canon, maybe, the second game looks like it's going to throw canon into a cannon and shoot it into the gaping maw of Mount Doom.

Yeah I think it was RPS that just did a recent article on the next game not sticking to the LOTR canon at all.

I think these kind of micro-transactions have generally been very unpopular and have been received very negatively. There is evidence that the AAA developers are receiving the message.

Yeah, I hope you are right. I've come to expect microtransactions in freemium games, but the inclusion in full-price AAA titles is just egregious imo.
