Am I the only one who watched the Hatfields and McCoys?  Good grief gentlemen that was the best TV miniseries in a long, long time.

Almost makes me wish I had cable so I could've watched it.

Exactly.  The History Channel hasn't had decent programming -- at least on a regular basis -- in five years now (if not longer).  As the saying goes, however, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

How does it hold up to Spam: the Miniseries?

Watched Revolution last night, decent show if you are willing to suspend disbelief.  Without warning a worldwide EMP event occurs.  Power grid goes dark, planes fall from the sky.  For some unknown reason all modern technology (electric, batteries, vehicles) doesn't work.  "Something" caused the laws of physics to change overnight ... cue conspiracy music. 

Fifteen years later militias rule the country, the central government has broken down, and bandits prey on the survivors.  Despite the low tech post apocalyptic setting everyone wears clean clothes and seems well fed.  So far only one character has a modern firearm, everyone else uses a bows, crossbow, sword, or single shot musket.  Tech level is around pre-Civil War, haven't seen steam engines or rail road in use yet.  Appears by the violence level and minimal gore they are trying to capitalize on the 'Hunger Games' teen audience.

I've had plenty of hearing people go on and on about Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch. I'd not heard of it except for the poured out on Facebook by a few individuals, so I didn't think anything of it. I saw it was on Netflix a few weeks ago and last night finally got around to watching the first episode.

I have to say, it's brilliant. Cumberbatch is a terrific Sherlock...miles better than Robert Downey, Jr. was in the big screen presentation of Sherlock Holmes. Not that Downey is a bad actor - on the contrary. It's just I could not stand the SH movies. There's very few films, even absolute shite, that I will stop watching or walk out of - it's as if I need to see it all to be sure it's shite. Dick Tracey was one. The Downey Sherlock Holmes movies are two others. I tried several times to watch SH but I just can't do it, so I guess that really turned me off from the character for a while.

Glad I took a shot to watch Sherlock. Also surprised the episodes are pretty much feature-film length, which explains why there's only three episodes a season I guess.
