Crushing fails the blow,
Dusty windward walks.
Even fate must falter:
Force shall follow force.

Turn 8

So it seems great forces are stirring.....

The Antigonid steamroller attempts to crush the powerful city state of Athens .........

Are the Saba awakening from their desert slumbers... ?

Even indolent Bactria may finally coming off the fence....though will they jump into the arms of the Seleucids or make a leap into the unknown with Maurya and maybe even the Saka....

Now the Judeans have completed the takeover of Syria Province and their borders begin to approach the western extremities of the Seleucid Empire....

Galling war all year;
Horrible the deed.
Is there no relief?
Just a death away.

We are a proud yet ~~humiliated~~ humble people, bitter as the sand, etc. O:-)

I can see how being proud and humble at the same time would make one bitter.

A bit like the client state of Bactria in its relationship with its caring protector the Seleucid Empire.....a loyal ally and a rebellious state yearning for independence........

So many confused folk out there...😉

Kin will boast and brag;
Lately can't deny.
Maybe pallisades
Now will save our souls.

Sir Slash · July 31, 2019, 09:14:16 AM

Uh Oh! That doesn't sound good. Is it time for, 'In Memory Of' poetry? :hide:

The chances of me doing a post-mortem analysis soon, seem to be increasing. Increasingly increasinger. :hide:

Tomorrow morning to mark 10 years of the game I shall post a snapshot of world events and try to analyse the roller coaster of fortunes that some nations in particular have experiences already..........

The Saba may have a starring role ;)
