One of the infantry of my task force suffered a wound in taking the final region around Qatabia, but the computer still ranks us at 84 military power; so when the Qats rode over to take my harbor away (again), not only did I wound a few of them in the fight as my garrison sortied, but they left their capital defended by only a 32-ish power spawn. So I'm swanning in to see if I can punch out their capital! -- I'd call that a fair trade for my semi-developed harbor area.

Meanwhile, the game engine declared that I had met the qualifications to declare an emergency levy again, so while that's going to tank my legacy I don't even care: at this point having two good armies around the Qats is worth it.

We shall see; with any luck, they'll swing back up to my apparently unguarded capital (I sent my few outside units gathering there, into the garrison), and so be distracted long enough for me to fatally cripple them once and for all: they are definitely not getting through my walls anytime soon! (If I have bad luck, they'll swing back to their capital pronto, but the odds might still be in my favor even then.)

I believe he is referring to his stack combat power rather than nation rating.....

The Qataban capital was stormed this turn.....Egypt has sent its Red Sea navy off the Qataban held minor port so if the Sabaens are able to defeat the remaining Qataban forces and push them into the sea we will take huge delight in sinking their battered troopships  >:D

Qataba marched on from Homeritae to Himjar, so there's some threat of them going after Ptolemy's holding, too! Not much I can do about that yet, but I've nixed their capital so there's that.

I need to rest up my task force a little, and bulk up my emergency levy (task force 2) a little more, before I try to root them out; though I've got a harbor ready to go next turn in Qataba so that'll be nice (they've got both my small ports right now). I've sent my main home-guard force into the garrison to get used to the current general this year, and maybe that'll convince the Qats to try attacking me. If so, I can surge out next turn and ruin their whole career!

But I've got a united front against them now with a stable hinterland being progressively developed in the eastern desert of southern Arabia. If they do something dumb like invade Ptolemy, I can't stop them but they'll suffer. (.....and if they invade Arabia after that, well, gosh,  ::) ^-^ We'll just have to make the best of things somehow after that.)

They are welcome to take my province down there. It of no use to man nor beast as they say in these parts  :)......It just costs me decadence.

The Arabians are well capable of dealing with them  if they do move north.
