Three Kingdom's Total War on sale for 47.99 at Steam - but that is pretty anti-climactic. For me, anyway.

Same.  Even though by most accounts, 3KTW is a great game (and it covers a period I'm interested in), I find it hard to justify shelling out that many florins for a game anymore.

Yeah I think everyone was going by whenisthenextsteamsale.com which is usually correct.  Looks like it wasn't this time, even though it insists there's a sale on now!

Same here.  I'm still hopeful they'll discount it further next time.

It can be purchased for less at some sites. Whether those sites are legit, well...

...the lowest legit price I have seen is around 40.00. Still a little high for me.

Actually I have been shopping around all morning and ironically the two games I have honed in on are both not through Steam...Tank Crew and Anno 1800.

Both are pricey but both are on sale right now.
