Something tells me that the S. Koreans who can see the DMZ from their houses are not quite as keen on the idea...

I could see why they are pissed.  The USA is a foreign presence easy
lash out at.  People forget stuff quick.  The generation that really knew
war is now old and since when have popular entertainers ever been really
aware in any geopolitical sense?  People are rarely grateful for any foreign
military hanging around five minutes after the war is over.  Let us think of,
oh I don't know, say Boston in the time 1763-1775?  I would suggest saving
the outrage for those folks currently actively shooting at you.  Wrongly or rightly
a lot of people in the world do not feel they owe the current USA anything.
The generation who helped save their butts is not the one running the current fiasco.
How often have I read in here people stating they do not give a crap what
the rest of the world thinks?
