'Hero's Hour' is HoMM but better and on sale Gog for another 12 hours, one of my fav games was heros of might and magic, and i did not think they would ever improve it but they have , this game is awsome

Fun game, but I disagree that it is better than HoMM when it doesn't have a campaign, lacks the presentation of HoMM and most maps are fairly small so nothing like a grand campaign feeling and rpg aspects you got from HoMM. There are lesser issues I have with the game, but overall it is definitely worth the price for what you'll get out of it. I just don't expect to be touching it five years from now whereas I still regularly play HoMM #3 and #5. Maybe in time some of these things will be addressed, but they aren't really 'issues' when you view the game on its own. As soon as you introduce comparisons with HoMM though then the areas it falls flat become quite prominent.

OOOH, I did not realise all that, i just looked at the gameplay that seemed to add new elements, I have to admit homm is a benchmark. i shall play tonight and look
