Some good progress on my British tree. I now have the Orion.
Progress slowed though as some more friends joined me and I had to play 3.3 and eventually 3.7 BR ships with them.

There is a free ship grind event shortly
You can get the battleship Baden which will be new to the game in this event. I got the uss Mississipi in a similar event not somlong ago.

I am finding their is a scourge of Japanese warships in naval right now. I get killed more by Japanese BBs now than the Scharnhorst.

The new baby. The event ship BADEN. A grind but it's free and fun. What a ride it's been with the new patch though...

The devs did some work on the Fritz-X guided bomb recently (sounds like they're adding glide bombs to the US tech tree in the next patch) so I've been having to keep one eye on the sky at all times and make sure I change speed and course every 5-10 seconds. I actually got lucky and managed to shoot one of the bombs out of the sky as it was falling but I've also been nailed quite a bit recently. I'm currently grinding the Japanese heavy cruiser line so I'm not sure why they're going after me rather than battleships but whatever...

Betty always makes good videos. I might have to jump back into German bombers to get the He-177 Grief. The Fritz-X looks like fun. No idea how he manages to get to 5k metres without ever getting intercepted though. Whenever I fly my Lanc or my Hali-bag, I get jumped before I get to 3K.

I rarely play ships in war thunder, but I'm all about the air sim. It's basically IL2 with smaller maps and always full servers. Great dogfights in air sim. It would be great if the air sim mission incorporated player ships and player tanks, tie it all together.

They kinda do. If you play ships you have to take a ship first but after that you can take a plane. I think it's the same for tanks.
Some players take a patrol boat and have a scoot around to get enough of a score to get an aircraft. In ships you can fly back to land and refuel and rearm as well.

No sim mode for ships though, just arcade or realistic.

Oh I see. Yeah, I thought sim mode for aircraft was dead, but I played warthunder sim mode so many years ago it's probably different now.
