Yeah. Toranaga is Tokugawa. Ishido is Ishida Mitsunari. Yabushige is Honda Masanobu, I think.

I only recently had an opportunity to sit this through in earnest. It is hard to believe how much better than the average show is. Truly good.

The only nitpick I have is that some of the actors were looking too similar to each other. Even knowing the general story it could get a little confusing in the beginning.

It is too bad that this is probably going the way of the Firefly with no second season. But then there was no second book either.

I thought it was great with the exception of most of the dialog being in Japanese requiring one to read very fast to keep up. Especially hard when lots of Hawt Geishas are in the shot.

One of the writers joked that 2nd season would have Yabushige on a London pub crawl... I guess he was joking because Yabushige commits seppuku in the first season...

Oh. That makes me happy to hear. I had only spotted pessimistic snippets before.
