I guess that's bad news for the macOS version.

As owner of every Combat Mission module, I think this is a positive development.
Maybe more modules or, who knows, CM3 at some point.  Combat Mission is my go
to....just awesome games.

Just managed to login to my Battlefront account and I've got one game listed. No serial keys for the "more than a dozen" I bought from them.

oh well...

One of the things holding me back from jumping in head first is the number of things that happen in game that are inexplicable and no one on the forums knows why - why can't I see this from here? Why can he shoot me but I can't shoot him? Why can't I target the 3rd floor? All receive a collective shrug - it's the engine or the mysterious fog of war

Well I am not sure these things haven't been explained..not sure there is a wargame that has been subject to as much forensic examination as to why it works the way it does. I think any question you may have has likely been answered somewhere and like any game it's not perfect but for sheer enjoyment and the feeling of actually commanding at the tactical level. Nothing comes close.

Graviteam I guess may be in the same bracket if I could actually figure out how it all works.

Maybe the forensic examination comes from the necessity for more information

I am certainly not comparing the titles but if my tank misses in red dragon or warno or regiments the ui and info on the screen tells me why - in cm I don't know - the forumites and devs give a mystic wave of the hand and say 'this is war'

I played more hours of cmbo and cmbn than I care to mention, beta tested Italy and Black Sea and loved every minute - I still want to know why I missed

By chance do you have the old e-mails regarding your purchases from BF. They would have the SNs, or the order number to back check.

Destraex

Now hopes for coop multiplayer that's all I need.
"They only asked the Light Brigade to do it once"

Sir Slash

Maybe now even Gus will give this game a try. Maybe.  :azn:
"Take a look at that". Sgt. Wilkerson-- CMBN. His last words after spotting a German tank on the other side of a hedgerow.

I hope it will free up the means for battfront to actually bring CM series into 2024 standards.  I'd love to see CMx3 become combat mission classic realism with gates of hell graphics and MP co-op.

Unfortunately not. It seems I've had a purge or change of PC or some thing happen over the years and this information has gone.

I hadn't had problems logging into Battlefront at least once before and grabbing my information when I wanted to reinstall something - so probably rather stupidly didn't think about securing that information - because I was able to get it easily enough.

I would've thought as part of the takeover, Slitherine would have access to the previous purchases and been able to provide access to them. I posted on Matrix - in case there's an option I missed.

I don't suppose it matters really. Whilst I loved the games and did play them alot (CMSF2 was superb and my fav), my PC gets very little game time nowadays...too many games and not enough time, so at least these aren't tempting me away from other gaming - which they surely would if I had access to them.

Could be related to the news :

https://store.steampowered.com/sale/CombatMissionFranchiseSale

Most Combat Mission games are 60% off (for the next 7 days).

Even better deals (most are 68% off).

CMBN and CMSF2 are also on GoG now, which gives you completely DRM-free versions.

I got in.

Raised a ticket and John at Slitherine identified I had two accounts. All games present and accounted for.

Taking John over to Slitherine support was a smart move.

Especially if they want to keep the Mac versions alive.

Sorry that I didn't check in earlier. When I saw your post I was going to suggest opening a ticket.

How did I do? Did I get back quickly? I'm still getting used to the new Help Desk set up.

I've been on the Matrix/Slitherine payroll since July 1st. I have really enjoyed working with them as we put all of the games on Steam and working solely for them hasn't changed my positive opinion.

Now that CM3 is "officially" know to exist I can only add the most vauge information. I work for a company now that has a full marketing department. I haven't played a build in a couple of months but I feel it's probably ok if I say..... It definitely has an updated look and a video I saw the other was staggering. It took a few seconds for me to realize I was looking at a video of the/a game. If the game looks like that heads will explode. And also, it looks very different,  but the UI is organized differently but the game still has the Combat Mission DNA. You won't have any doubt about what game you're playing.

We'll see but Steve and I have been making a case for it. One thing to keep in mind, with the much smalled audience for Mac, is that it isn't just making the game. It also involves support and testing. Those are factors as much as the coding part is.

But no final determination has been settled on yet.
