Milton's Coming

If you haven't already heard, there's a big fat guy out in the Gulf of Mexico named, 'Milton' who's gonna make things miserable for all the good people of Fla. for the next couple of days. Right now he's scheduled to waddle his fat ass just to the north of me about dark tonight. We're as ready as we can be but almost certainly will lose power for several days...and hopefully nothing else. So I'll get back to you Grogs when I'm back online. If not, then I'll see you all on the Other Side.

Also, the hurricane is trending further south. Not sure where Slash is, but that's not good news if he's just south of Tampa.

My bud lives in Wellington, near West Palm Beach. They got hit by a huge tornado. He's safe, but his neighborhood took a beating, with some deaths.

This is a crazy hurricane.

I'm back and all is good here. No damage just lots of limbs down and shit-ton of leaves in the pool. We came off much better than many, must've been all those Grog prayers. Thank you Gentlemen. Toonces, I saw that tornado on TV along with another huge one in Clewiston. They looked Oklahoma-sized. Unfortunately, many places along the Gulf Coast are probably never going to be the same again after this storm.

My theory is the name. If somebody gave me the name, 'Milton', it'd piss me off and make me want to tear people's shit up too. Anyway, pretty scary storm. Glad he's gone.

The Wife and I go to Siesta Key/Longboat Key often for our anniversary. Beautiful place but the islands are just barely above sea level and in places not 100 yards wide. It was only a matter of time before they got smacked really hard. This year we stayed at a great condo on Englewood Beach, right on the water. Alas presently, we're not sure if it's there anymore. The police won't let anyone back over to the island, Manasota Key, because it's too dangerous with downed power lines and debris and the whole place maybe under about 6-8 feet of sand.
