Interesting (but short) article saying that after 1000 days of war, Ukraine has more tanks than it started with.

Mostly because of 630 Western donations, but also 500+ Russian captures.

Poland, according the article, has provided more than half of the donated vehicles.

Ukraine has lost 700 - 800 tanks.

Well... wonder how long it will take for Russia to (a) hit Kiev with one of their (conventional) ICBMs, and (b) get a functional ICBM to even travel that far.

I know some of the videos about the ICBM hit have to be fake (i.e. repurposed from other real video), because currently the most dramatic video purporting to be the strike shows rockets zoofing down from the clouds onto a fairly narrow portion of land in the distance, at night, supposedly being MIRV warheads (without the nukes). Which seems to fit neither of the video footage shown above (especially the one in daylight).

While I suppose MIRVS could be set to hit so nearby each other (especially with conventional warheads), my expectation would be they're released at stratospheric levels (or higher?) to strike multiple widely separated targets with high-yield nukes. Dropping them so close to each other would seem to be counterproductive as the blasts would interfere with every other warhead incoming.

Arguably already had the balls to send a Russian crew with a Russian captain on a Chinese ship out of St. Petersburg, to snip the undersea communication lines across the Denmark strait this past week. Unsure why he would bother, though. Any strategic thoughts on that? (To provoke NATO/EU into doing more?)

I think outside of nukes, his best attack without getting a kicking by bringing NATO into the fold is to fuck with NATO countries subversively. So comms, disinformation - that kind of thing. Little things to destabilise without having a nuclear war or bringing NATO into his front garden

He's been waging war, hybrid and hot, at western democracies for a better part of two decades now. If there is a chance to weaken his previewed enemies, he will take it. Especially, if and when he is not pushed back, or does not expect a push back to take place.

Been thinking about what effect Trump will have and I can see Trump making Putin and offer and Putin refusing and then Trump says well we'll see about that and starts arming Ukraine with as much weaponry as they can absorb and use.
