Hey friends, I couldn't find a thread for promotion so I hope you don't mind me creating a new thread. I'm writing because I'm launching a new podcast today! It's called Retro Dogfight, and it's two other old flight sims grogs and myself talking about classic flight sims! I couldn't find a podcast talking about old sims, so I decided to make my own!

Pretty much all of them, but certainly the Falcon series, the Jane's series, all of the old Microprose classics all rank at the top of the list.

Please make sure you keep dcs as part of the podcast? I don't think their is s podcast specifically for dcs?

Not really into retro flight sims nut it might be fun to hear stories about the older one.

DCS isn't really retro, but its lineage is. I think Flanker and Flanker 2.0 and LOMAC would be fair game for coverage.

As far as picking only one sim as an all time favorite, I'm not sure I can do that. I've been thinking about it all night.

I might be able to pick favorites in categories, ie. Modern aircraft, jets, helos, WWII, etc. but picking just one seems impossible to me. I'm still thinking about it, but picking just seems out of reach for me.

Do you have one?

No. We'll cover the games it came from, like SU-27 Flanker, for example. Was I not clear in explaining the whole thing?

I mean, there are already other podcasts that talk about DCS. This one, for example. I couldn't find a podcast that talked about the old stuff, or as I like to call it, the good stuff, so here we are. ;)

Chuck Yeager's Air Combat was my first. I also had a WW1 title at about that time that I don't think was RB3D. Then I guess Rowan's Battle of Britain, CFS3. Does IL2 '46 count as retro?
