This dropped out of the discussion rather quickly.  With the Steam Winter Sale looming on the horizon, anyone have any thoughts on this one?

I have about 80 hours played and have enjoyed it quite a lot.  Taking a break for a bit but no doubt I'll come back to it, maybe after the next big patch.

Same. I got about 60 hours in on my campaign but finally realized I was in a death spiral.  I'm waiting on the next patch before having another go.  The campaign takes a looooonnnnggg time to play through and I'm finding it very hard to gauge how I'm doing in comparison to other factions, especially in space.

Love it to bits but like everyone else with relaxing time limited it's hard to know whether you're doing badly in such a long game and if it's worth the commitment

I for one am taking it easy - I'm about 30 hours in and have absolutely no complaints

I personally love the game - it's a long journey from start to space and then the finish and while I will admit to only ever slightly touching the space element of the game it's great

I only have a bout 90 hours in the game so I'm not going to review it.  My thoughts are that it's a very detailed and fun game with a steep learning curve.  It's certainly not the type of game you will finish in an evening, maybe not in 10 evenings.  Luckily there are some excellent guides on Youtube to help with the learning curve.  Watching part of a walkthrough can give you a good idea how the game plays.  If you like what you see then the game will give you many hours of entertainment.

I like it...I think.  I like the idea of it and I have fun when im playing it but I don't really ever get beyond building my first few shitty spacecraft before I discover how far behind I am and end up surrendering.

I wish there were a bit more feedback detailing how you're faring against the other factions.  Im often 20-30 hours in before I discover I'm in a death spiral and have been for the last 15 hours.
