Apparently Microprose is doing a series of warbirds for MSFS and the first is the B17.

Let's see. These things are easier said than done.

Kinda interesting how many places microproses b17 is going. I thought a normal screen game, vr game and now microsoft flight sim.
I hope they are sharing B17 models between projects.

Don't forget the boardgame.

I'm guessing the work on msfs b17 is to make some money on work already done for their mighty 8th sim.  Not a bad idea really, might make the mighty 8th release sooner or at least keep it financed.

Was not aware of the board game. Is that new as well?

A month ago I finally broke down and purchased MSFS 2024. So far I've purchased the Japanese Zero, Panavia Tornado, and the Sepecat Jaguar. But more than these I've really gotten into the WW2 Bombers: Avro Lancaster from Aeroplane Heaven, Stirling Bomber and the new Microprose B-17G. The B-17 has a nice bomber-like flying feel but not many clickable controls as of yet. Also graphically the crewmen seem a little smaller in size than they should be. It will take a while for the plane to become accurate. Not sure about the bombsight as I've only flown the plane a couple of times. Ironically I've been distracted by a freeware item on //flightsim.to. A few weeks back the B-24 Liberator was posted there in a conversion form for MSFS 2024 and just a few days ago it was updated. If you don't have this one I highly recommend it! Looks and flies beautifully with even more clickable items added. Development is still ongoing. Get it here:

Also under scenery enhancements just posted: RAF Bassingbourn USAAF 1943 and Telergma Airbase in Algeria both WW2 era airbases. Neither requires extra addons.
