Tripoli

Boston, September 1976. With the recent passing of some of the cultural icons of my youth [Dianne Keaton, Ace Frehley, etc] it seems be an appropriate song this week. As an aside, one of the advantages of being 60+ years old is that in our youth, we had music like this on the radio all day long......

As far as gaming: I'm doing some playtesting of TF Admiral, a bit of CMO, Some Fight Club and BoC work.  Have a good weekend, y'all!
"Do I not destroy my enemies when I make them my friends?" -Abraham Lincoln

Dammit Carl!

In my ute, I gravitated more toward the Prog Rock of the 70's, so I missed out on all that cool stuff by a decade or more; "Yeah, Duran Duran is cool and all, but did you hear Genesis' "Foxtrot," or ELO's "Eldorado?", man!" [cue the looks only a young teenager gets from their peers when they bring up stuff completely not in-date]

For my gamey bits as of late, I've been going back through the whole shebang from square 1 with Ghost Recon: Breakpoint but with all the gear score whatnot turned off and it certainly is more immersive/tense this time around. Pity the movie tie-in chapters ("Terminator," "Predator," iirc) are no longer available as I had a blast with those.  Really need to peep the mod scene for the ol' girl as well too.

Stay safe, stay sane, hydrate, and powder ya dangly thangs folks!

Anguille

Cool song.

Playing mostly Stellaris lately.

For gaming it will be Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

A picture here made me remember I have a DVD box of Space - Above and Beyond in my collection.
I might take a trip down memory lane this weekend.

In casual periods in between messing around with Heroes of Might and Magic Olden Era demo...Never played the earlier iterations but I like the unit variety

Stalker 2 has and continues to be where most of my spare time is spent.

Age of Empires IV - coop with randoms. Don't get to play this often with friends. Wish the end game was less about siege engines.

COH3 - The usual dailies for skins

War Thunder ships. I play the odd match but am a little sick of the 80% circle maps at the high end of town where I am grinding at the moment.

Sins2 - Had a quick game and it's relaxing.

Tank Squad - A new patch came out yesterday, earlier than they would have liked, because of that unity issue. But the game graphics have improved significantly. A nice surprise. Roads and buildings especially are sharper.

Kinda before and then after in tank squad. Just from screenshots I had lying around. See how much sharper the road got. I think it's the same road, shame one shot is through the cupola and one the gunsight. So it's not exactly like for like.

P.S. Took another one. This one unfortunately got taken after somebody interrupted me... and a tank appeared so you cannot see the road properly. Sometimes you cannot win.

I ended up having to jump out and find where my track was damaged so I could affect repairs before continuing.

Jumped back in and a T34 is charging over the hill at breakneck speed.... first shot richochet... then my second shot at almost point blank resulted in it swerving and the crew bailing. Following Russian infantry and AT rifle gunners followed. I could have called my own infantry and should have. But it was all good. Some of the Russian crews and infantry start using molotovs if you let them get too close, so you have to be careful. Friendly infantry are really useful at those stages.

Bailin out.

An AT rifleman... I see you buddy

You have to press "I" to look around inside your position and open hatches or look through cupola windows. Visibility is a lot better this way than through the main sight.

Somebody called in arty (I could have if I wanted to or even an air strike where you see Stuka's etc come in) while I was having trouble prenetrating that slippery T34 front glacis.

Killed by infantry I ignored during a tank duel. Again I could have had my own.. you can even order them to ride on the tank.

Love that song, good choice for a Friday video.

Picked up Heroes of Valor last weekend and have been playing all week.  Great game, good to see Battlefield Heroes revived.

Also playing some Imperial Glory the Empire Total War predecessor.
