Flashpoint Campaigns Cold War for the weekend.

Tripoli

Burden of Command DLC work.  Maybe some Task Force Admiral playtesting.  And Modern Naval War playtesting.  And some CMO

Redwolf

I just bought Assassins's Creed Black Flag. Will try this weekend.

The whole AC line is on sale.

Good song Pete.

Sofa reminds me of something @al_infierno might be familiar with.  (Assuming you're from Cali)

Refunded. That didn't go as planned.

Plan to continue learning Ara History Untold that I bought a few weeks ago at half price.  Very complicated Civ-like game.  Much more focus on economics and cultural development.  Interestingly you can declare skirmish wars that last only 25 turns.  I ended up in a draw so I don't know what would have happening if I had scored more points.

Doing this right now also - so many upgrades and combinations to figure out

Just survived a skirmish from the romans so obviously that's them about to receive some pain as soon as I figure out how

Huh...have we talked about this one before? I don't remember it but there must be a reason I passed it over. Looks pretty good, even though it has mixed reviews. But combination of civ and anno sounds awesome to me.

In any event, I'm on another Aurora kick. Having a good time designing ground force organizations and in my last game I got caught with my pants down by unknown aliens and when I was finally able to engage them, I snuck a squadron with beam ships into a civilian convoy and shredded the hell out of it. Revenge was sweet. Good times.

Wanted ara since release but it's always sat at £50 which is a bit steep for something for me that doesn't start with total war or warhammer but it car to 25 on Black Friday

It's recently had what they called a free patch but it essentially rewrote huge parts of the game and you'll probably find any review after 2.0 is more favourable than 1.0

It's a million times more complicated than civ in a good way - all kinds of improvements and improvements on those improvements and different combinations of upgrades to those improvements - just got to work them out!

Spent so long away I'd have to start all over again - love me some aurora - I just need better answers to questions than 'it should......'

SpaceMarine started a new tutorial series with 2.7.1, the most current version. It is still very much incomplete, but a good place to start if you're looking to jump back in.

Too much crap to do before you can play. Typical Ubisoft and AAA game bullshit like extra license key entry and Ubisoft login.

I made it through that, but it would not select a reasonable screen resolution. My desktop and desired game resolution is 2160p. The game autodetected at 1280x1024. The menu to select resolutions would display up to the desired 2160p, but would then count down every time to 800x600. Selecting that got me back to 1280x1024. At that point I refunded.

I just can't stand the typical AAA game antics. This will be the last game I buy from one of those publishers.

I got Amnesia the Bunker instead, which ran fine right away.
