While it has been said many times, it is worth repeating: Many entertainers and actors are called "great" by the media. In the current age, these plaudits are quickly given.  But the ranks of the truly great, those whose body of work over decades consistently achieves artistic excellence is extremely small.  Duvall belongs in this category.

Multiplied by range. Mobster, cowboy/gunfighter, Eichmann, Stalin (!) (I want to see that one), Ike (!!) warts and all, GENERAL LEE (!!!)... I'm pretty sure that's only about 1/3 his range. Maybe 1/4.
