Microprose announced they're publishing Battlespace Command developed by Wirraway Software.

Battlespace Command on Steam

Advertised battlespace size is 6,250,000 square kilometers.

CMO in full-fidelity 3D would be pretty epic.

Wirraway software? They Australian or something?
Oh wait, was the new Microprose boss Aussie or something?

"In 2018, David Lagettie, an Australian simulation software entrepreneur and one of the makers of TitanIM open world military simulation software, purchased the MicroProse brand from the Cybergun Group. Lagettie was a former developer for Bohemia Interactive at its Australian studios before starting his own company to create video game simulators to be used by military groups. "

Yes, it seems so. From Wirraway's website:

Wirraway Software is a one-man game studio in Melbourne, Australia creating innovative strategy games and simulations.

"Wirraway" is an Aboriginal word meaning "challenge". It is also a reference to the CAC Wirraway, a training/light attack aircraft credited as the foundation of Australian aircraft manufacturing. In the early years of WWII Wirraways were used as fighters, light bombers, and reconnaissance aircraft in the defence of Northern Australia and New Guinea.

Looks like he developed and published three turn-based wargames on the Apple Store and Google Play: Pacific Fire, Blitzkrieg Fire, and Red Fire. It looks like he plans to publish Pacific Fire on Steam sometime in 2026.

The mobile games are actually pretty decent, as far as mobile games go.

Funny - I got an Operation Flashpoint vibe from the infantry and landscape shown in that trailer.
