You guys realise the nebulous campaign is coop up to 3 players to begin with and 5 later right?

For me it's star citizen if the servers are finally stable. Plus the usual coh3 with all the new battlegroups. Maybe I will test veterans napoleon.

When I posted asking if people realised it was coop, it was because I did not and was excited upon discovering that fact. I had not thought that people would be bothered or angry that it was coop. I was not trying to pressure anybody to play it coop lest they not get the full experience. I should have considered the single player sensitivities here. I apologise.

If it was the pictures then I also apoligise for not thinking. Those pics are literally from the initial moments of the very first briefing.

I can't see any reason you should apologize.

All good. It was I who thought I caused offence.
Just by the by. If my internet went down or when I am on extended holidays. I do really enjoy single player.

Although SP gaming is heavenly bliss for me, I do occasionally whore myself out and play MP games.  Mostly shooters, but there you go.

As for MP strategy gaming, I have yet to find my kindred soul who would play the way I want them to play.  I don't mean that in a dictatorial way, but rather a mindset that matches my own.

Just my 2 cents.

Sometimes I wish you guys were more local to my timezone.

What style of play do you like in strategy gaming? Turtle, mobile warfare, front line, flanker, deep strike, behind the lines, etc?

Don't worry. The guys I play with generally we play for fun with because a lot of them it really depends on their mood whether they co-operate and do things properly. Some guys have got it and some don't. We often add a random off the internet just to frustrate ourselves lol.

I enjoy a titanic clash over a long period of time.  So I would say a combination of turtle, mobile, and front line.  I really enjoy cranking out units from factories and feeding them into a bitter frontal struggle that drags on for a while.  A contest to see who can break the front line first and move the front only to turtle again until the next breakthrough.   That's why I find Operation Barbarossa from WW2 so intriguing.

I hear you.  It would be nice to play something like Twilight Imperium over the course of several weekends with a like minded gamer.

I own a board game called eclipse but have never played it. The sort of thing you have sitting around because you never bothered to go out and try to meet like minded locals.
I don't know why twilight imperium would be more interesting than sins of a solar empire 2 or stellaris for computer? I looked at a youtube video and it did look like they had done an impressive job of converting the board game to computer though.
