It's on now. I'd like to see what you buy to give me ideas for my own purchases. Lot of games on there.

Silent Disapproval Robot

I picked up Infinity: Battlescape and Knights in Tight Spaces.

I'm still going through the whole HOTAS setup thing with Infinity so I haven't really done much other than the first tutorial.

Development has been sloooooow. I've had it for a long time. Recent major updates have added a lot to the single player experience, which I like.

I've been sniping a bunch of cheap games on sale the past few months already (instead of y'know not spending any money on new games and playing a bunch of already-bought games I've never touched.  :Nerd:  )

Pursuant to that failing strategy, I've picked up Operation: Harsh Doorstop today. The (currently) full package is 50% off.

...or I was about to when I read the reviews. Ouch. On the other hand, I have less less-money now, which is like having more money! But different!
ICEBREAKER THESIS CHRONOLOGY! -- Victor Suvorov's Stalin Grand Strategy theory, in lots and lots of chronological order...
Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.
Khazâd du-bekâr! -- narrative dwarf AAR for LotR BfME2 RotWK campaign.
RobO Q Campaign Generator -- archived classic CMBB/CMAK tool!

Ugh, hit "quote" instead of "quick edit", time for bed.

So far I got King's Orders Complete Edition, Aragami Shadow Edition and Cold Waters all for a silly price.

I ended up refunding it.  It looks very cool but I just could not get the HOTAS setup in a way that I felt the game was playable without a bunch of compromises.  Fought with the config menus for just under the two hour return limit as well as sifting through various forums looking for a solution but I wasn't able to find one.  The dev did pop in on the Steam forums and seemed to suggest that my wanting to be able to utilize the radial command pop-up menus via a HOTAS hat was a silly notion.  Oh well.

Total haul so far. Per Aspera + Per Aspera Blue Mars, Farming Simulator 25 + Highlands Fishing Expansion, Infection Free Zone, King's Orders Complete Edition, Aragami Shadow Edition, 112 Operator + all DLC, After Inc: Revival, Dispatch, Manor Lords, Cold Waters, Regiments + Regiments Winds of Change.

I'm retired, btw, with too much spare time.

I took the refund from Infinity: Battlescape and bought Incursion: Red River instead.  I haven't put too much time into it yet but I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far.

Next time.

Red River was $15 cheaper.

Silent Disapproval Robot

Gotta say, I'm loving Red River.  I've got 3 friends hooked on it as well.  It's still early access so it can get a bit repetitive but the AI is great and is highly customizable.  The firefights in this game come the closest I've seen to replicating what it was like to run around during my training with MILES gear and shoot each other up.

The AI uses suppressing and harassing fire well and will try to flank you.  They are a bit dumb on default settings and will charge into killzone funnels, but if you bump it up just a notch, they become very adept and pinning and flanking.  I also like that different rounds will punch through various types of cover.  You'll learn to fear snipers with .338 Lapua rifles.  They blast right through tree trunks and concrete barriers.
