Eador: Genesis

Anybody heard of this fantasy themed TBS game?  Sounds pretty interesting...like a mix of Civilization, Shadow of Magic, Heroes of M&M and Master of Magic all wrapped up into one game.

Apparently, it has been out for awhile, but it has just been released in English on gog.com.

Seems this is a "newer" version with "upgraded" graphics that's not out yet..... I'm sure someone brought this version up here months ago.

Fer $5 bucks I'm tempted to buy the GOG version....

Lol... I was going to post this today.....  I believe this was only released in Russian so I am not sure there are many who have played it previously.  I did see the updated version on Steam Greenlight.  It looks interesting and I was wanting to ready more user reviews on GOG.

I'd spot someone the $5 purchase price if they would write a comprehensive English review of the game and publish it in the forum or the frontpage.

They sound a lot a like.  I wasn't really paying attention until I read the GOG.com description.

RPS says after Christmas, i assume they meant 2012

Master of the Broken World goes into Beta on the 10th.  I've applied, but I don't know if they are still accepting applications.

This is indeed the precursor, and from what I understand there is no English manual.  It looks deep, so there might be a steep learning curve.  I just bought it, and will report back when I have time.

Yeah, I've been waiting for the updated version (or sequel?).  If the original is any good, though, I'd love to know.

There does seem to be a tutorial, which I looked at very briefly, but I have no idea how extensive it is.

Yes, there is a tutorial at the start of the campaign. I haven't played it through yet though.
