New steam interface

Anyone using the new Steam interface? Big icons, big pictures and tiles like the Windows 8 navigation scheme. And it's supposed to be gamepad-friendly navigation.

The problem is that it starts off wrong.

First screen I see in my library has a bunch of games I'm not playing. They are not my faves. They aren't my top hours played. They aren't even installed on my HDD.

Why kick off my library with useless crap as the default screen?

Then give me 20 pages of scroll through to find stuff I want and a crappy dropdown box to filter stuff that I can find 10 times faster on the old UI?

I don't know who designed it or why, but it is a big fat fail for me.

Seriously, if I want to navigate a menu with my gamepad, I'll turn on my xbox.

Actually not just gamepads. If you have Windows 8 and touch screen, those big icons would be nice.
But yes the problem is that you don't know what's installed or not. Too little info is showed on the screen. You have to dig for stuff. >:(
It does show you the recently played ones but not all installed games only.

Turned it on, then turned it off. I think it's designed to work on TVs but isn't so great on my PC. Since I neither watch TV nor play console games, I doubt I'll use it.

Not a big fan of it so far, but I guess over time it may grow on me....I am sure some day they will force us to all use it since I can't see them supporting multiple modes for very long.

This is my feeling too. Big Picture is worse in pretty much every way. Zero interest here.
