I cannot help but think there is much, much more to this. It seems totally bizarre that someone would take their own life after merely having passed a hoax call to another nurse. The hospital was very angry towards the radio station, but I can't get the apparently disproportionate reaction by the nurse to the prank call. I get the nasty feeling that the radio presenter's are being made a scapegoat for something that really wouldn't have been a reasonable expectation for them. I get it that the call was perhaps in poor taste, but it's hardly the sort of call to cause such an extreme response. What drove this poor woman to kill herself?

There's no telling, but it does sound as if the nurse had some things going on in her life other than just that prank call.

Certainly giving out private information is bad, but it shouldn't have ended this sadly.

Depending on her ethnic background it's possible she felt she had so deeply shamed herself in the faces of the Royals and her employers that she thought she had no where to turn to. In addition to that it is also possible that she was being made the scapegoat by panicked supervisors in the first few hours who may have initially come down very hard on her, exacerbating her despair. After her death they would only have kind words for her no doubt.

There will be a coroner's report done on her death to establish the reason for it. The suicide note will play a big part in that. Someone will be getting sued. That's why it will be getting shared.

Did it beach her employers privacy requirements?
Was anything said to her about that?
Who by?
Did her collegues say anything to her about it?
Who was playing the call in England? It was an Australian segment?
Why did she sleep in nurses quarters?
Did she have any previous psych issues?
How was her relationship with her family?
Hence, what did the suicide note say.

Currently the employers have put the result solely at the feet of the DJ's. So have the media.

UK police have flown out to start the investigation - this puzzles me, i didnt think prank calls were illegal
