One thing skeletons and zombies are great for is lowering morale.

If you have units of the opposite alignment in your army.

I hired a Barbarian unit (somewhat evil?) and he actually gained +2 Morale rating due to being in an army with the "Evil Incarnate" undead skellies.  :)  The peasant troops were Neutral alignment so there was no change.

I meant enemy morale

Oh?  I didn't know that!

Wish there was a proper English pdf manual for this thing.  The google translate version of their web manual is a bit painful.

Bison

Yeah.  Barbs and brigands or whatever they are called have an unscrupulous alignment.  They cause moral issues with your non-evil units.

Seems I am afflicted by the Windows 7 64-bit issues. I have a lot of stuttering, the music sounds garbled, and I get massive slowdowns at points. Shoot, because the game actually looks very entertaining! I am excited to see the updated version.

Has there been any noted hardware pattern involved?

I've not experienced any issue on Win7-64 yet.  So I'm guessing it's hardware specific, or other software is interfering?

I play on my laptop no issue.  My desktop has issues.  Both have Win7 64.  The greatest MS OS since XP.

LOL.  Not many in that category!

So has all these issues been mouse(cursor)-related as previously mentioned?

I was under the impression it was the 64-bit and something with multi-core CPUs.

Maybe the i-series chips' speed throttling isn't working well with it?  My quad core & chipset is an AMD, not Intel, and running Eador great.   Hopefully they've been able to narrow it down because it really sounds like a compatibility issue, probably in the hardware.   :-[

I'm running two versions of the i5.  One has issues the other doesn't.  Running Nvidia cards in both.  The newer, more powerful rig is the one with the issues.  I'm not sure anyone really knows what is happening.  I've read many of the theories and suppossed fixes over at gog.  And like most games with issue like this some find the home remedy fixes work others don't.  I guess the upside is that this risk costs you $5 instead of $40-60.  If the game works, it's a real gem of a game.

And you can use it as a preview for the new version, which will likely have all those problems fixed.

Try throttling your CPU to 50%.  Worked for me.
