Anyone played this one?  I have a lot in my wishlist on gog.com and have waited until the sale to revisit what I actually want or will eventually play.  This is one that was at the top of my list and was wondering...... thanks.

I played that a long time ago.  its a fun game but the mission scripting could have been more creative.
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

Seytan

I bought it a few months ago. It is a fun game. Check out YouTube lets play videos. I think you will be impressed.

It's a fantastic game.  Heavily scripted as Starfury says, but very good fun nonetheless.  It's a rare game that fully conveys the feeling of proper capital ship combat.

Martok

Always looked like fun.  A damn shame the proposed sequel wasn't successful with its Kickstarter funding (both times).

IIRC theres a Battlestar Galactica mod for it somewhere.
for the type of game it is Id rather play the Homeworld series.

Longdan

It is a really good game despite the age.
There are mods for it on Desura.

Aside from something like FTL, this is the only "Big Spaceship" game I can think of in recent memory, and even this title is considered old now.

Shame about the kickstarter for Nexus II.

For years I'd wanted a proper, command a Battlestar style space combat game, that was more like naval battleship combat, than privateer/x-wing/wing commander flyboy stuff. Starshatter allegedly had some ability to pilot big fookers, but I never got that far into the game, to have enough prestige or wonga to get to a massive ship. I suppose some of the Star Trek games allowed you to fiddle, and was it the Starfleet Command III that had me near the goal for abit...

I ALWAYS have Nexus on my hard drive, to satiate starship command fetish,

Two of them, actually.  Neither came close to their goal.

Shameful.  And quite surprising actually, considering it's met with universal acclaim any time it's mentioned.

Arctic Blast

They didn't do much to bring attention to it, unfortunately. One of several developers who seem to think that all they need to do is :

1. Put item on Kickstarter
2. ????
3. Profit
