Somebody once told me the Acadiens are to the Quebecois
as the orcs are to elves.  He was Quebecois of course.

I've personally seen Quebecois shun Acadiens, preferring to speak English to regular white bread Anglos than speak French to their Acadien hosts.  It was blatant and embarrassing.
