I think I need an intervention.

I have at least a dozen games in my library that I've purchased and not even bothered to install.  I have another two dozen that I've installed but hardly touched.

Why then do I have this overwhelming urge to buy a train simulator?  I don't even like trains!

HELP!!!

I bought both of the train sims during last years sales...enjoyed them for what they were.  I think I only paid a total of around $10 combined For both...no regrets for those prices.

Silent Disapproval Robot

Yeah but if I bought the game then I'd also have to buy this.

and one of these.

That would be awesome to play with...

You could buy a ship sim instead and get this:

And this:

If you're lucky you'll be shipmates with one of these:

Vituð ér enn - eða hvat?  -Voluspa

Nothing really rocks and nothing really rolls and nothing's ever worth the cost...

"Don't you look at me that way..." -the Abyss

'When searching for a meaningful embrace, sometimes my self respect took second place' -Iggy Pop, Cry for Love

... this will go down on your permanent record... -the Violent Femmes, 'Kiss Off'-

"I'm not just anyone, I'm not just anyone-
I got my time machine, got my 'electronic dream!"
-Sonic Reducer, -Dead Boys

Funny.  I didn't think the last item was really the navy's cup of grog.

Huw the Poo

She'll catch her death, dressed like that at this time of year.  Bless her.

You betcha! You can get a slice from the dessert trolley on the Lito Deck.

....
and.....

Kohan Warchest for $4.99 perhaps? For what it's worth, I read in The Big List of 3rd Party DRM on Steam that Kohan: Ahriman's Gift has "Inert DRM: SecuROM," whatever that means.

But I am also considering buying some older games from Steam that I can't find anywhere else, particularly Railroad Tycoon II Platinum, which Steam has on sale for $2.49 until January 5th.

Has anyone found any oldies but goodies that every gamer should have?
Regardless of how good a PC game may be it will always have its detractors and no matter how bad a PC game may be it will always have its fans.

Does that thing say..."PIE"??

That's the setting for conjuring up the sailor in the third pick.  ;)

Strange thing, I just won a contest for Borderlands 2 and all DLC!

Also, Retro gaming for me... added:

  • Master of Orion 1 & 2
  • Dungeon Keeper 2
  • Freedom Force Pack
  • Railroad Tycoon 2 Platinum
  • Heroes of M&M V Complete

Bison

Well I used my Steam gift card to fill out my ARPG collection on Steam.

Dungeon Siege 1, 2, 3
Sacred 1, 2 Gold
Dins Curse + DLC
Depths of Peril

I'm done with the sales now.  I've got enough ARPG goodness to last a good long while.

Gusington

I'm trying really hard NOT to buy War of the Roses but my brain tells me that since I got Chivalry as a gift, then it's ok to buy War of the Roses myself.

Well, made my last purchase for the holiday season....Freedom Force Pack.  It's a sad day when I have to return to work and the real life and the sales come to an end:(
