Keep playing Call of Juarez : Gunslinger. Not the most inventive game in the world, but it's well made, fun and the narrator is pretty awesome. For $15, it's a steal.

After that, not sure. Maybe I'll pick up Fallen Enchantress or Far Cry 3 : Blood Dragon. Or maybe I'll play something I already have... ;D

I am not sure why I haven't bought Gunslinger yet, but I have played the demo more than a lot of recent full game purchases...really a nice game....will pick up the full version soon.

They do a lot of great stuff with the narrator as the game progresses. You'll play through multiple versions of things based on different people remembering differently. At one point, I died in a duel and as I hit the key to try again, he suddenly came up with "Wait, no! I DIDN'T get hit there. Let's start over..."

Of course I go to buy it from Steam this morning and appears their payment system is having an issue, at least for me.....maybe it is a sign for me not to buy:)

Nonsense. Buy on, good sir!  ;D I actually finished the game last night, and I really enjoyed it from start to finish.

And now I've got Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon downloading. The FC3 shooter engine with a game basically set in the world of 80's action movies? Yes, please!

Finally allowed me to make the purchase so I am on my way now...just got through the second set of missions....loving it , just like the demo.  Its just simple fun with very good gameplay in my opinion.  Of course might not be the hardest or most realistic game....but much fun.  To me it is like my own personal game of last year which was Sniper Elite 2.  The only shooter last year I started and finished every mission, that says a lot to me since I am quick to pull a trigger on a game.  I see this game being the same way and I hope they come out with more DLC for it.

As noted a few threads below this one (currently), I had a little Warlock problem caused by a new monitor.  So, I fired up CKII.  Kushan is trying to get a dedicated MP game going and I thought I should refamiliarize my self with it.  I had a save as the Duke of Barcelona.  I was on my original ruler.  I had doubled the size of my holdings and had an independant Muslim kingdom next door.  The days game play saw me tke the kingdom (only a County really), marry a hot little relative of the Kingdom of Galicia and pop out three babies to go along with the five kids I had from my first wife.  Pretty sure my guy will be dead soon and I can't wait to see what the rule of my son and heir will bring.

Well I've ended up mostly playing some Shogun 2 and Birth of the Federation with the MPR graphics "patch".  In addition, I'm still hoping to get in some beta-testing this evening.

Played DW Friday night, along with a few turns of Birth of Rome. After talking with PE on Friday night I bought Xenonauts. Spent most of Saturday playing it. Even with the short time I've had it, I can already say that its going to permanently replace X-Com UE on my playlist.

Also fired up some CK2 last night. Continued my long going Kingdom of Italy game. I declared independence from the HRE, the emperor wasn't happy but he let me go without a fight. Then just for the hell of it, I turned around and declared war on him for some minor province.  Things started off pretty well. I was on my way to having 3 main armies with 20k troops or more. Unfortunately due to me being half asleep, my northern force got caught in penny packets and was destroyed. Then the HRE landed 40k troops in Italy (I think came from Africa) and wiped out my Eastern army (Was blocking the eastern approach into Italy). After that I logged off and decided I was just going to go back a save.

As MetalDog mentioned, I'm trying to get a MP game going of CK2. Since its real time, we all have to be on at the same time. I'd like to get something going within the next week or so if possible.

Going to end the weekend by watching the season premier of Falling Skies and playing more Xenonauts.

Why did I wait so long to pick up FC3 : Blood Dragon?! If you have any appreciation at all for hilariously over-the-top 80's action movies, you need to own this game. The only bad part is that I keep dying because I'm laughing too damn hard.

Well I did play WoT's but also spent a lot of time playing Civ III complete which i picked up again for 74p :) sometimes its easier to buy again than dig out your old discs.

I only got 1 turn of Band of Heroes in...so the AAR still has a turn remaining. I have to say I'm looking forward to moving away from the AAR and onto actually playing the game at normal speed...because the turns (without the AAR stuff) look to be fairly quick playing.

Did I get anything else done? Nope. No drinking Saturday or Sunday either...I was just feeling a bit "eugh".

Something like the above:  CKII TOG and CLOD and the Burning Blue (boardgame), maybe a micro AAR featuring running a CLOD scenario based on a Burning Blue Moment.  Possibly a few moments of ARMAIII as well.

Things went as expected except that I played a lot more ARMAIII than I expected since the sniper rifles are out in this next alpha version (I guess there was a beta of this alpha, but I've been waiting for the betas to move to alpha rather than getting them before they go out to the standard steam alpha release).

In Burning Blue I've moved on to the main Luftwaffe offensive and its August 16, 1940: 10:30 AM and the sun is SE right behind the incoming raids aimed right at Radars and air fields and ports.

I played around with the sniper rifle in ArmA III as well.  It didn't come across as very future tech.

I also played a fair amount of Conquistador.  Man that game can be punishing. 

I finally finished my Achtung Panzer Shield of the Prophet campaign and wrote up the AAR.

Played a lot of holes of Disc Golf this weekend.... even in the rain and a nice dinner with friends.... but some gaming in there as well....

Crusader Kings II - The Old Gods
Played a lot with a start in Norway 867 AD.  I have worked to unify all of Noway during the second generation of my regin and currently have a little over half the provinces needed.  Quite a bit of work up until this point, especially when my first ruler died at 45 causing a lot of intrigue and break aways.  Next I will focus on an Scandinavian empire.

Xenonauts
The more I have played, the more I continue to like this title.  I am still what is considered to be in the early stages of the invasion, but so far it has been fun. Just researching and trying to balance as much as I can.

Project Zomboid
Have not tried this one out again since the latest major release.... updated and I died quicker than I would like to admit.

Distant Worlds
Got a little time in on this one and not as much as I hoped to.... plan to spend some nights this week with it and continue to learn as much as I can.  I have a good starting empire right now.

OOTP 14
Great upgrade and have been going through playing around... time to get serious through with a recent team and maybe a historical team.  This is a great sports sim, probably the best I have ever played.

Just to show what CKII can do to mess with your head, I continued playing as the Duke of Barcelona.  I had three counties under direct control and seven vassals.  Early on, I married my son to an Italian duchess.  His son became the Duke of Siena and left my son without land.  So, I gave him one of my counties.  My original character was very old.  However, my heir died before I did and left my new heir as the Italian Duke.  Then my original character finally kicked the bucket.  That's when things got really bad.

My current character, the Duke of Siena and Barcelona, is a vassal of the Holy Roman Empire.  The Kaiser declares war as often as regular people change underwear.  So, I am at war often, depleting resources.  As most of my vassals are Spanish, they don't like me.  And it turns out, neither does the Duke of Spoleto.  So I am unable to count on a goodly amount of income and troops from my vassals and I have someone plotting against me to take the Duchy of Barcelona from me.  To top it off, my brother, the Count of Siena, is in my dungeon at a -100 relationship with me and I have no access to the resources from the County.

Spoleto's plot succeeds and I give up Barcelona.  I still own the County of Albarracin, because it is part of the Duchy of Aragon, and the County of Lucca.  My most talented courtier is my Uncle.  To curry favor with him, I made him Master of the Horse and found him a talented wife.  Shortly after, he asks for territory to govern.  So I give him Albarracin.

I am at my wits end.  My economy is in a shambles, my army is so small as to be non-existent and I see no prospects on the horizon that I will make it very much longer.  I so hate this game :(

I always try to make sure I have direct control over as many counties as I can without penalty, and I also increase my Stewardship and research Legalism tech to help raise the number of Demesne... Those counties with the largest levies I try to hold... The vassals under me I try to keep those gold diggers happy or your tax from this is less.  I am sure you have done these things and sometimes you are just along for the ride.

I'll post back soon once I have started a serious season.  I like the UI a lot... some may not but I do.  I wanted to jump into the scouting as it has been redone and also look at the revamped International players and test the Trade AI.  I'll post back soon.

PanzersEast: Appreciate the advice.  I was kind of run along a rail.  After my original heir died, his son was the character I was to become.  Shortly after the heir died, I died.  So, I became my grandson.  That character was a vassal of the HRE.  After playing a little longer, I was fed up and switched to Lollard religion.  When the Emperor finally got around to me (for being a heretical religion), he revoked my Duchy, then one county, then another, after imprisoning me.  Not sure how it happened, but, I became my uncle, the Count of Albarracin.  The game is still going and I am actually in a bit better position.  Not much better, but, better.  At least I am Chancellor of the Empire.
