Zomboid is pretty damn cool.  It would be even better if they managed to get it finished in this lifetime.  Progress is slowww but at least it's playable.

Rocksmith 2014 (always wanted to learn guitar)

You need a special cable to be able to hook up your guitar to a USB port on the 'puter. Heh, actually I've heard that it's a very tough game, which is probably why I hadn't bought it before.  But at that price I just couldn't keep the young Dungeon Master player in me silent any longer. :)

Alright can someone explain all the hubbub about Project Zomboid ... it looks very interesting but is still in early access so I'm not sure I want to put the money down for it yet ... unless one of y'all can talk me into it.  ::)

I love the Shadowrun setting since picking up the first edition pen & paper rules long ago.  It didn't sound appealing from initial appearances at the time, but I was quickly sold once I got into it.  I even picked up the new Fifth Edition Core rulebook a few months ago, just for some reading if nothing else.

Just wish there was more gaming stuff out for it.  The mechanics in Shadowrun Returns has little relation to the P&P game, unfortunately.  The only possible future release I've discovered is some tabletop strategy game focused on gang warfare.  Oh.. and Shadowrun Online but that's just a browser MMO so it's probably not as heavy as we'd prefer.

Like with 40K, I am really enjoying the fiction that goes with this game.  Harebrained Schemes has a 100 page PDF that you can download that gives all the lore, and it is really fascinating.  I upgraded to the Deluxe edition just to get that short story anthology, too.   :)  After that, I intend to hit Spells and Chrome.  Based on what I read so far, I think Shadowrun would make for an awesome movie.  Like with 40K, I really have to wonder how Hollywood never purchased the IP.    

I figured that the PC version's mechanics wouldn't resemble the PnP game.  Shame, though.  I wonder why game devs always shy away from a faithful implementation of a RPG's rules when it comes to a PC conversion?

I saw somebody mention that a few years back MS released a shooter based on the SR universe.  I have to admit, that does sound pretty cool.  I hope we are on a cusp of a SR renaissance.  It took 40K more than a few years to get its AAA gaming legs, too, so maybe the success of SRR will heighten the visibility of this franchise, too.

It's on your profile but you have to explicitly request to join a (random) team.  I can't remember how I did this, but you can probably do it from the front page by clicking on the "summer adventure" stuff.
