Airsoft?

Anyone play around with airsoft? When I was younger and fitter I used to play a lot of paintball and always had a blast. Now with airsoft technology licensed by the actual firearms manufacturers, they've got some really great choices. I just picked up my first two. A G&P M4 and a KWA USP.  Looking forward to some action at the local indoor field.





In case you ddon't know what airsoft is, these are both bb guns.  The M4 operates on battery and the USP is a gas blowback system.

Why? I'm not going to be running around all kitted up like a douche. But a few of my friends are having fun with it and it gives me a chance to get off my ass.

I know you said those are bb guns, but are they paint bb's that you shoot at people, or do you shoot only at targets with the metal bb's?

They are plastic bbs and you should people. I haven't played a match yet, but seems that hits are in the honor system. There are refs, but I can see it being tough to call. Hopefully, they sting enough to make you want to  call out when hit.

I've got a buddy here who's really into it (also a lawyer) and he's dumped quite a bit of cash into his various airsoft firearms and kit.  I went once and it was OK (but I'm far too out of shape to be much of anything other than an ambush lump) but the 90 minute drive each way eats up too much time.  I just end up going to the range instead as it's only 15 minutes away.
