You guys are acting like this is the first time an unfinished game has ended up on a retail store's shelf.  At least it's labeled as such, which is more than could be said about a lot of titles.

Next, will they'll be selling games based on announcements, before development even begins.

And they'll call them something like "Season Passes"!

QFT!

(Assuming it is labelled as such. UCG didn't know whether it would be or not.)

This isn't as easy a situation as it sounds.

We released Flashpoint Campaigns:Red Storm in October of 2013. It was actually playable and has mostly gotten consumer requested additions to the game. There was a single hot fix done in the past 9 months. We are set to go to the next game in the series.

Which is all well and good but the companies and customers want the product as fast as they can get it. We are the ones that pushed for time to get things done right. Most gamers now realize that you can't make code changes overnight and that they need to be tested. If done correctly that will take no less than 2 weeks.

We have a commitment to our customers to not release an unfinished product. That puts us in a select group. We don't sell you the Beta version. We actually do Beta testing BEFORE we sell you the game. What a concept. As well as giving free content at every update and at regular intervals until our next release.

Bottom line is, we are wargamers too and we feel just like  you do about spending your time and money on a game. Simply, it should work out of the box. That is our commitment to you that our games do that.

Good Hunting.

Keep making games, and I promise you, we'll keep buying them.
