HoI Best Modern or Cold War Mod

I have HoI3 but the modern mods for it don't look complete.

Have looked at Darkest Hour and Arsenal of Democracy. Not sure which is best.

Main thing is I want to play a Cold War/ Modern Mod that is stable and complete. Any body know of any?

Modern wars are not as grand as WW2. :/
I think that's the reason why there are no plausible and successful modem scenario for Hoi.  You can try to take a look at  Supreme Ruler series but the micromanagement is a mess.

I believe a modern day mod was in the works, but was discontinued when the cold war HOI game was announced. Not a good decision as it turns out.

I believe a cold war/ modern could be fantastic grand strategy if done with right balance of combat mechanics for conventional and asymmetrical war, diplomacy, and economy. The current decade is one of the most blatant examples of Real Politic we've had for some time in the West.

I had SR 2010 and 2020. Refuse to buy now. My impression is the Dev worked hard for a new engine, and since have not listened and mostly reskin the same problematic engine to milk it.

Swatter, alas, I still morn the failure/cancellation of EvW.

I just dont see how modern warfare can fit into a WW2 frame.  if it ever happened it would fought with what ya got.  no research and no production beyond ammo.

Paradox has released a new beta patch for AoD.  Looks like it may be the first one in almost 6 years?
