Yass - was that the mission we did some time ago with the "swimming" enemy inf?

Question Asid...there's a couple of times I've went to jump from external/map into the gunners position of my Chally and when I get there, the gunner has smoke loaded.

a) Is this normal and
b) How do I get them to change ammo
c) In fact (forgetting the smoke issue for a moment) pressing Insert and Delete to change between Sabot and HE doesn't seem to work for me. I know the gunner won't change whatever is in there - so if you order HE and there's a Sabot round in there, he won't unload - he needs to fire the Sabot to get the HE in - but he never seems to follow my command and load the ammo I tell him.

a) Yes (The TC decides on ammo)

b) If you are the Gunner (F6) the TC will usually pick the ammo. Listen to what he says. Jump into "TC position "F7" and change ammo if you wish but you will have to fire the round that is already loaded first. See "tutorial 06 Gunnery F" for the Challenger 2



c) You must fire the loaded ammo first before your chosen ammo is ready to fire. Here is a selection from the wiki: http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbwiki/index.php/Challenger_2

When you are in TC position "F7"
Loader related commands:

INSERT: Fire, fire FIN (KE). Orders the loader to start loading FIN after the next round is fired. Holding SHIFT and pressing this key will instruct the loader to reload this round type from the semi ready rack.

DELETE: Fire, fire HESH. Orders the loader to start loading HESH after the next round is fired. Holding SHIFT and pressing this key will instruct the loader to reload this round type from the semi ready rack.

HOME: Fire, fire (ammo type 3). Orders the loader to start loading ammo type 3 (if there is any) after the next round is fired. Holding SHIFT and pressing this key will instruct the loader to reload this round type from the semi ready rack.

END: Fire, fire (ammo type 4). Orders the loader to start loading ammo type 4 (if there is any) after the next round is fired. Holding SHIFT and pressing this key will instruct the loader to reload this round type from the semi ready rack.

SHIFT + PAGE DOWN: Reload all. Orders the tank crew to reload all weapons systems.

Yesterday we fully crewed an M1A2Sep (3 players in the same tank). We had:
•   1 player as Gunner
•   1 player as Driver
•   1 Player as TC



It was a simple mission where we had to hunt enemy tanks. We had to be very coordinated and follow the TC's orders to the letter. It was certainly different...even "edgy".. It worked extremely well.  O0

Definitely recommended O0

He was smoking after he got hit  :'( .... Left the remaining 2 crew members (gunner & driver) in a compromised position  :-\ ..... We met our maker shortly after......

Grr.  Been wanting to get back into an MP session but I'm not gonna join in until I'm pretty sure that I'll have a long stretch of free time.  I feel bad when I get interrupted and have to leave.  One of the few times I'm a completionist.. real-time multi-player.  ;D

Hey Nefaro some missions are small (under 1 hour). Also if you let the players know then it might be ok to join and leave by a certain time. Please check first.
