Hey Asid

Good to see you haven't given up here...everytime I see your posts, it reminds me I should at least jump online once a week and get some armour gaming goodness into my life.

I was wondering - do you remember I bought a licence and never activated it...if I was to get back into this, am I at the point where I need to use that activation?

I have to be honest, I am completely lost with where I am with it in terms of version and install.

Operation 4 Coin Toss by Assassin7

Mission Summary :
The enemy insurgents have taken over Al-Awja, Khanaqin, Umm Qasr, and Basra. The Insurgents have been killing the towns people and the insurgent force are growing stronger. We have been call to plan an assault north to gain control of these towns and to elimination all the insurgents. The enemy possible have older t-models tanks, PC, mortars and Hinds. Due to possible enemy counter attacks we need to provide 360 degrees security when we gain control of each town.There is also a high value enemy insurgent commander in the town of Basra. We are to find him and kill him. His last position was at grid 0794 1080 map zoom at 26.5.

D.O.W. 4-7 CAV Phase V of Campaign by Cougar11


This scenario is a simulation and does not have any political message.



Mission Summary :
From HVOC 6: Update from NATO. Russian and their allied forces have been held on almost all fronts. They have thrown most of their forces at our flank position, and have taken heavy losses. Our unit, NATO, and Greek forces have kept the Russians from making their goals. With heavy political pressure, and stiff resistance from NATO forces, we have forced them to make a tactical withdraw. Current situation is Russian forces are trying to setup an airstrip to facilitate rapid withdraw of forces, and have a troop and resupply convoy moving to objective Snake from the North. They have setup a defensive to our Northeast at the town of Twin Forks. It is suspected that they have a regiment with possible air support and a large supply depot, with artillery in the area. We have to deny the area and airfield from the enemy. By doing this we will hopefully trigger a full withdraw of their forces. NATO has given us a mixed nation Armor battalion to seize the prep-school, secure the town of Twin Forks and objective Snake, and destroy any enemy depots in the area.  Mission brief will begin shortly. 1) SITUATION:

a) Enemy:
   Russian forces have setup a defensive with a regimental unit in and around the town of Twin Forks. They have a supply convoy moving to objective snake from the North, possible attack helicopter support, and unknown artillery support.


b) Own:
     4-7 CAV DOW Armor Battalion consisting of three companies, heavy artillery/rockets, and other support units, is set to attack northeast to defeat the enemy in the area, and deny them the staging area for withdraw.

3) EXECUTION:



Intent: 4-7 CAV DOW forces will attack northeast to seize the prep-school, secure the town of Twin Forks, Objective Snake, and destroy enemy convoys and depots in our sector to deny it as a operational withdraw area for their forces, and force a full withdraw of the area.

Russia has had its eye on Ukraine for many years. Border skirmishes have increased. Tensions are rising. There is a definite escalation in hostilities. It is not full out war. Yet! Intent: Provide recon for the battalion, eliminate enemy recon by H+45:00, and minimize losses. Then defeat enemy in sector with armor units.

TF Cougar Defense COOP DOW by Cougar11

Mission Summary :
TF of three companies consisting of Armor, Cavalry, Mechanized infantry, and scouts conducts a hasty defense against a regiment plus of modern Russian forces.

SITUATION:

a) Enemy:

Enemy consists of a combined taskforce of armor, IFV, Scouts, and support units. Most likely ground unit configuration of enemy is one Cavalry Troop, one Armor Company, and one Infantry Company. Enemy will have artillery, and other support assets.


b) Own: Alpha Armor Company with scout platoon, B Calvary Troop, C Mechanized Infantry Company, D Artillery/and support units, E Taskforce
         Support. On the right TF Blue, Left TF Green, rear Division reserve, front none. Division has tasked us TF Red with defending to secure avenues of attack, and defeat enemy in sector. Friendly units are rested and well supplied.

c) Support: TF Cougar will have multiple assets for recovery, repair, supply, artillery, and mortars.


MISSION:

TF Cougar will conduct a hasty defense in sector to secure objectives Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta, and defeat enemy in sector, to provide safe avenues of attack for follow on forces with the least amount of losses possible <30%.


EXECUTION:

Intent: Unit commander is tasked with primary goal of holding objectives Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta. Secondary Goal of defeating enemy in sector and exploiting gains to the victory line.

a) Enemy:

: On 31 March 2004, four American Blackwater contractors were killed and images of their bodies being burned and mutilated were broadcast on television around the world. Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, CENTCOM Commander GEN Abizaid, and Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) Ambassador Bremer decided a military response was needed immediately. Fallujah had become a symbol of resistance that dominated international headlines." Enemy insurgents have been building up in Fallujah preparing for a fight. They are ready to die as long as they take a NATO force service member with them.

TF Hawk 4-7 CAV Campaign Phase VI DOW by Cougar11

Mission Summary :
Intel Brief from HAVOC 6: Russian forces have been forced out of the area. NATO forces sent a recon force to the city of Loki in an attempt to gauge enemy operations in the city and surrounding area. The unit has not been heard from after a short few radio calls for quick reaction forces, CAS, and medical support. Flights over have not been able to reach the area due to radar anti-air threats.
It is believed that Russian forces are attempting to seize the area as a Russian interest due to the pro Russian population, which claims they have been oppressed by Greek forces. The size of Russian forces moving into the area are of battalion size, with anti-air, air mobile infantry with ground attack capabilities, mechanized infantry, recon, and armor. Pro Russian forces are unconventional, with limited armored fighting vehicles of cold war era. It is possible they will use terrorist tactics as well. It is believed Russian or pro Russian forces hold the city of Loki, and the surrounding schools, factories, and smaller towns.
Pro Greek units in the area with limited armored, mechanized, recon, infantry, and anti-air vehicles are prepared to move into the area. They will be leading the initial push into the area, and will be moving units to objective towns, factories, schools, the city of Loki, and the surrounding areas. They will attempt to secure all objectives, and provide advanced recon for NATO forces that will follow.
TF Hawk consist of four companies of armor, recon, mechanized infantry, air mobile infantry/missile teams, air attack aircraft, support, and artillery. TF Hawk is to support Pro Greek forces in their attempt to secure objectives, eliminate anti-Greek forces, and destroy or expel all Russian forces from the area. NATO forces are limited in Artillery options in populated areas due to neutral civilian population in the area, industry, and to limit destruction for recovery after hostilities. All units will have to identify their targets as to not kill allied forces, and civilian population. We do not need Pro Greek becoming Pro Russian. As well as we do not need any unnecessary civilian deaths. TF commander will need to use the assets at hand to deal with the support of Pro Greek forces, and to accomplish NATO objectives.

1) SITUATION:

a) Enemy:
   Pro Russian unconventional forces in Loki and surrounding towns and area. Russian forces consisting of a battalion of mechanized modern armor, anti-air units, and attack helicopters. Intel suggests Pro Russian forces are securing the area to break away from Greece with Russian support. Intel suggests Russian forces are moving into the area, and plan to secure the area, and prevent NATO forces from entering the area.


b) Own:
                  TF Hawk consisting of 5 companies of scout, mechanized, armor, and air support units positioned at the airfield in the town of Thessaloniki, and prepared to support Pro Greek forces in securing the area. Pro Greek forces will be in the area with unconventional units, and old era Russian vehicles. They will move to all objectives, and scout ahead of the NATO main body.


c) Attachments and detachments:

                    Air assault and air attack units 2 AH64, 2 CH47, and 4 UH60s by trigger. 4 artillery batteries, and support/supply units.


2) MISSION:

NATO forces are to assist Pro Greek forces in securing objectives posted on the graphics, secure the area, prevent Pro Russian and Russian forces from gaining a foothold in the area, destroy enemy forces, and form a screen line to the south southeast of Loki.


3) EXECUTION:



Intent: TF Hawk facilitates Pro Greek forces in securing objectives, destroying enemy forces, and setting up a screen line to the south southeast of the city of Loki.

LZ Bastogne Armor by Cougar11


This scenario is a simulation and does not have any political message.



Mission Summary :
Ukrainian separatists have taken control of the small city of Bastogne. The separatists have heavy reinforcements on the way. You the 101st Airborne 1st Brigade 502 Air Assault Battalion must take the LZ within 8 mins with all 10 helos. Take and clear the town. You must hold the town till re-enforcements can arrive by air, approximately one hour. There is a marine detachment in the area for support, and if the separatist's reinforcements arrive you can have an armor company that can be called on for support.
Minimum Command Level:  Platoon
Maximum Command Level:  2 Companies plus infantry air assault and 1 company plus AFVs

1) SITUATION:

a) Enemy:
   Ukrainian separatists have taken control of the town of Bastogne. They are inside the city with a company sized infantry force minus. The enemy has reinforcements on the way to include PC's and Armor.


b) Own:
                  101st Airborne 502nd Air Assault is flying into clear the town. To the West is a Marine detatchment of IFV's, TOW units, and wheeled vehicles with mortar support once they arrive. Battalion HQ has set a Forward Operations Point near the LZ to the South. Further to the South is a company of armor to assist once they arrive.


c) Attachments and detachments:

                   A Marine detachment, and Armor Company once in the AA's.


2) MISSION:

502nd Battalion 101st Airborne Air Assault conducts a air assault into LZ Nuts South of the town of Bastogne. 502nd will then clear the LZ, and move into and clear the town of Ukrainian separatists. Marine detachment will be called on for support in the city and surrounding area, and if heavy mechanized forces are in the AO, the Armor Company will move in for support. Hold the town for two hours until reinforcements can arrive.


3) EXECUTION: Conduct air assault into LZ Nuts, and secure the town of Bastogne.



Intent: Intent: 502nd will conduct air assault and clear LZ Nuts. They will then move and clear the town of Bastogne. If called upon the Marine detachment will support 502nd in the Town of Bastogne and the surrounding area. If enemy heavy mechanized forces in the area are encountered, the Armor Company will move North and support.
