SOA Was a soap opera but for men. Which means there was no soap involved and no fat lady either. Instead there was big Harleys and big guns and big tits with big tattoos. And the end result, for whatever reason, was violence which resulted in retribution and then more violence and more retribution. But you could never see where the retribution was coming from nor who the violence would effect. Throw in some excellent acting and an occasional human head in a pot of soup, and you had Tues. night done right. Maybe Man-Opera is better. Whatever, the world is a lesser place without it.

I like Man-Opera. Kurt Sutter described it as a "biker gang fantasy". I thought the violence in Sons must be exaggerated until I read an account of the long-running clashes between certain well known 1%er MCs. If anything, Sons may have been watered down.

So I'm in the third season of SoA and I'm enjoying it, but this entire baby-kidnapping/Ireland sideshow stuff is annoying the hell out of me. I can't quite put my finger on exactly what it is, but it's slowed down my viewing of these episodes over the last week or so. I got through two seasons in one week, now this past week I've only seen 2-3 episodes because I just can't get into the storyline.

Please tell me this gets better and this baby nonsense goes away.
