No, worries.  :) No rush.  I'm like that with the CO2 Situation maps and the Berlin map for FCRS, I'm working on. I've been very slack the last couple of months. (Admittedly, it's been a brilliant summer here so it would've been a shame to waste it)

Got in a face to face game of Heroes of the Falklands yesterday. Great fun to play live. Fantastic new game package there. Great counters, even though they come rounded. X-maps are great to play on. And the manuals and all the new player aids are great too.

Player Up Sabot, I think it's called, where my Argentines were defending a ridge line and the Brits have to kill and eject us form our high positions. It's also a night scenario so the fighting was going to up close and personal.... or so we thought....

Started off well for me as we traded armour and his troops were looking for approaches in the wide open spaces of the map.

Brits get close but not close enough then he remembers that he's got off board arty to call in... and it went to hell from there....

2 well placed and high rolling arty strikes and most of my troops were shaken... to be taken by the Brits running up the hill behind the arty.... 

Fun scenario that can easily go either way.

Game is a masterpiece of production quality... I may have to pick up my own copy... soon....

Finally finished clipping the counters in my copy of GBo Alexander - Enhanced Deluxe Supertastic Awesomebake Edition.

Was pretty sure it came with about 1,000 of the damn things. 

Looked it up.  Says 720 counters.  I still wonder if they failed to count an included expansion or two in that count.  Because it felt like 1k.     :))



That may have been the easy part.  After seeing the horde of scenarios, it's going to be tough deciding which to set up first.  And digging out the specific counters for whichever it ends up being.

Oh, yes.   It took a number of hours and my carpal tunnel leveled-up at least once. 

Had to do it over three sessions though.  The corner rounding tool definitely made it more productive once I got a method down. 

I've already begun eyeing the next cardboard victims in Kingdom Of Heaven or GBoH Ran.

These things look great and their hairy cardboard velcro nips don't catch on each other anymore. 

Worth it, brutalizing the dead tree guts!  Will continue being a monster.   ;)
