Yeah, I also headslap when I hear my liberal friends complaining (as should be sometimes complained about) police corruption but then also wanting to increase governmental power and responsibility by drafting more laws to be enforced.

My only point of contention about the article, which I generally agree with, is that I have gotten the impression that a police squad weren't called in just to arrest (again) a guy disobeying the laws enacted by a hyper-liberal government (ironic problem though that is): they appear to have been called in due to some kind of violence going on which Eric Garner had been involved in. "All I was doing was breaking up a fight!" etc.

Sometime I want to read a breakdown of the evidential case there, maybe two or three different breakdowns.

The St. Louis police chief has asked for the FBI's help investigating what he believes was a hate crime attack against a woman in the same Bosnian neighborhood where a man was beaten to death days earlier by hammer-wielding teens, and where assaults have spiked dramatically in recent months.

The 26-year-old Bosnian-American woman told police she was stopped in her car by three African-American teens early Friday morning in the city's Bevo Mill section, where tens of thousands of Bosnians settled following the civil war in the former Yugoslavia 20 years ago. The incident occurred just blocks from where Zemir Begic, a 32-year-old Bosnian-American, was beaten to death by teenagers with hammers a week earlier.

Something I thought of yesterday...it's interesting that white power hate groups aren't taking to the streets in Ferguson to 'protect' people and/or further their own agenda and get press coverage. Either that or the media is totally ignoring them if they are, which wouldn't surprise me at all.

I feel pretty confident that if KKKesque groups were even distantly feasibly operating in Ferguson (et al), the media would be all over that like white on rice.

Even if they had to invent what the groups were doing there. The slightest excuse would be sufficient, especially since any speculations would be plausible.
