Our Canadian friends are probably well ahead of us, but just in case: there is a major cold spell predicted to arrive in the US in a few days.

If you haven't yet, you should winterize your house: pull the hoses from the faucets, etc.
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Just need to finish painting invasion stripes on the new snowblower and I'm ready ! O0

Mr. Bigglesworth

Get winter wheels too.

I recently got 4 new all seasons, consumer reports best buys. I took them out in the snow yesterday. The grip is less than half that of my winter wheels. I will put on my winters ASAP.

Hi LB, granted I'm just a simple Canuck, but I don't get it - what does pull the hose from faucet mean ?

Winter tires will help, and make sure you steer where you want to go to keep control instead of slamming on the brakes during icy conditions.

Wife just wants to blow cash on one set of tires, so I chose these: http://www.goodyear.com/en-US/tires/assurance-tripletred-all-season

As for what the faucet and hose means, I'm sure y'all have one of these outside:

Ah I see.  Took that out a month ago when the leaves started dying.

Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

But does that outweigh the morons, snowbirds, and other assorted idiocy?

I mean, you can see T&A anywhere.

The real question is, where can you park your van to covertly whack it during observation of said T&A, without being noticed?
