I understand not including anyone other than the MCU had already shown in Av1: that's what they were building toward in the previous movies, now it's time to play with all the toys. Adding Janet makes no sense without adding Henry (unless the story is going to be radically changed to her being who applies and maybe discovers Pym particles -- which I'd be okay with but still that's shortchanging the material again).

And I understand her not being in the Ant-Man movie. They wanted to include the two biggest interpretations of Ant-Man, Henry Pym and Scott Lang, without directly competing with the Science Bros already established on the Avengers team. That only makes sense if Pym is too old to be Ant-Man, and then Janet is also too old to be Wasp and her main contributing function otherwise was to fund Pym -- which can be done without her still being alive. So is it better for the film not to waste time and money putting her into the story in a highly substandard way the fans will hate, or is it better to move along to their daughter and let her be the Wasp eventually?

Looked at like that, I agree with the decision.

Well, I'm not really all that angry or whiny about it (and if I'm coming across that way, that's not my intent). Having grown up reading Marvel comics, you get a certain mythos embedded in you. Now, you have 20-something moviegoers that don't have that background that are seeing this and taking it as holy writ, when there is SO much more to it than just what you can put into a 2-hour movie. I can only hope it encourages a new generation of comic-readers.

I'm still pretty sketchy on the movie, but this is the best trailer so far

And Cory Stoll has to be the least menacing actor in Hollywood. At least he doesn't have that goofy hairdo he sports in The Strain.

I'm just not excited for this one at all.  I'm not even sure I'm gonna go see it; if I do, it'll be with absolutely no expectations.

Last time I went to the cinema there was a trailer for it and the two guys in front looked at each other an said 'is this a real film, or one of those spoof things, I don't get it' and after the trailer neither did I

My wife, nephew and I have all seen the movie and liked it.

It is a good superhero movie.  Much better than the Hulk movies and the Fantastic 4 movies - but not as good as some of the others.  Say a 6-7 on a superhero movie rating scale where Captain America 1 = 10 and the first Hulk Movie = 1.

My kids liked it. I still haven't seen it yet  :-[

I saw it and liked it.  I don't care for Michael Douglas, and I didn't really like him in this movie, but, I thought everyone acted their parts well and the story was ok.  Tepid praise, I know, but, much better than Black Mass.  At least I was entertained watching Ant Man.

Watched it last night.  It was silly.  If the guy retains his density even when he shrinks, how the hell can a little carpenter ant carry him around on its back?  And how the hell could Michael Douglas lift his keychain?

You're trying to apply physics logic to superhero movies?

What's the fuel source for the Iron Man suits?
