And I do believe it was a steam powered quad. They just passed by going down the hill from wherever they went :)

heh reminds me when one of my friends was studying in georgia many years ago.
at one point they had like a couple cm of snow and everyone freaked out, so when he was driving Down the road with a couple of his friends they got pulled over by the cops WHO told them they should be careful.
The driver told the cop he was from russia, my friend is from Denmark and the last guy was from sweden, so the cop just smiled and let them drive on :)

I'm on a call right now w/ a guy in Boston, obviously working from home. He's got about 5-1/2 feet of snow in his yard right now b/c of snow blowing around in their neighborhood and piling up against his hedges.

The winter before we moved from Boston we had enough snow to cover the chain link fence in the back yard. Not sure how many feet we got in total, but it was sufficient.

Yeah I would call it 'enough.'

My mailbox is on a 3.5 foot pole and from the drifts and plow it is just about buried.

And of course today got really busy with work on my crappy remote connection :/

Looking forward to clearing out the in-laws driveway of snow and ice at this point.

Between the snowfall that started in the early AM and the second round that started about 3pm I think I'll have between a foot and a foot and a half average. Hard to tell for sure because of the drifts are much higher and I'm not averaging in the mini-himalayas that the town plows left at the end of the driveway.
