I'm thinking of hanging out in my freezer until winter is over. It's toasty in there compared to outside.

Actually, let me clarify - we've already broken our record low and it's not even 930pm yet.  It's going to get colder overnight and we're expected to break the record by double digits.

We're supposed to have record breakers, too.  The overnight low is forecast at 8 degrees.  Tomorrow's high is 24.  In contrast, by Saturday afternoon, it's supposed to be 50 degrees.  Then back to the cold next week after the rain finishes moving through this weekend.  Which could be snow if the cold air doesn't move out fast enough Friday.  A cluster for our region.  Nothing like what some of you have had, but, troublesome nonetheless for us.

This Feb is shaping up to be the 2nd coldest ever.  Only one of the next 7 days is supposed to be above freezing, and we may be rewarded with freezing rain for it.  Tonight and maybe tomorrow night are supposed to set record lows for these dates.

Frost quakes here in West TN last night; we heard three. Very rare. Low single Fahrenheits this morning.

Last night the forecast for Friday started with a solid snowstorm from 7am to around noon, and then going back and forth between freezing rain and sleet until nighttime. Snow may still not accumulate much (especially compared to y'all), but that ice warning is no joke.  :buck2:
