Is there an advantage (and possibility) that Greece may leave the Euro for it's currency but stay in the EU to keep the trade and travel advantages.

Greece should never have been in the Euro, but now that they did enter they should have left 5 years ago. They would probably have been over this Whole mess by now if they had.

But given that I loath the Euro and EU in generel its really good they didnt, especially since this might mean the end of this freak currency.

Greece now, Spain, portugal might do the same.  The sentiment is they are fed up with EU, and the EU is fed up with them.  Nice big happy dysfunctional family.

Gus, IMHO it's always been like that.  The north thinks the south is poor, lazy, inept and corrupt. The south thinks the north is rich, corrupt, stuck up and full of themselves.  This won't change (I'm not holding my breath).  They have one thing in common - they both think each other is corrupt.
