The key to surviving this site is to not say something which ends up as someone's tag line - Steelgrave

Yeah, F that.

I love dice, but not that much.

Jesus H.  For that much dough, those dice had better sing, dance, and do my taxes.

Soooo...

What, exactly, has happened with Fantasy Flight's version of Warhammer Fantasy RP?  I've seen some scattered craziness like this for some of it's products, which makes me assume they stopped printing them..?

I picked up their Edge Of The Empire Star Wars core book, to check out this new and unusual system awhile back, along with a pair of the custom dice sets at a far more reasonable price.  From what I understand, the core mechanics in their WFRP and SW RPGs are the same.  I was rather impressed with the unique approach to RPG mechanics and how the custom dice added to it after reading some of the basics.  I've not played but I can easily see how innovative a system it is.

Which makes me wonder wtf is going on with WFRP.  Surely they haven't sold so many that they can't keep up.  I didn't think WFRP was ever one of the more popular RPGs.  My local game shop had none left in stock at some point last year - completely gone - so I just guessed that Fantasy Flight either stopped printing them or they're making yet another edition soon.  The latter being done so quickly isn't unheard of in RPG-world, and FF recently turned right around and did the same with their WH40K RPG stuff.  Although their first 40K stuff was still based on the same old unwieldy and uninspiring 40K system so that was probably a good thing if they threw that out the window and started fresh.
