Kushan

Due to a really bad work schedule its been close to three weeks since I've been able to play anything for longer then a couple of minutes. Hoping to change that this weekend with some Command, Elite, and Distant Worlds. Might also play some Grim Dawn. Picked it up on sale early this week, more because I wanted to get it while it was cheap rather then for the early access but I might still put a few hours into it.
PanzersEast: Have to think to myself.... will I play the first one by the Winter Sale?  Probably not, then I should remove Dragonfall
PanzersEast: but that is thinking too logically.... and Steam Sales are about ignoring Logic

Sir Slash

Damn Kushan. That's not a bad schedule, that's a criminal work schedule. But you gotta do what you gotta do man. I been there plenty. If you were like me, screw-up often enough and they tell you to go home and stay there for a while. Which I happily did. Anything for the team.

So many options.

I may revisit Mechwarrior Online a bit this weekend if I feel the need to digitally shoot at other people.  :knuppel2:  Not sure yet.

Perhaps some CK2 or EU4 for single-player, if not Total War Rome2/Attila.

But I'm primarily in a tabletop gaming mood again.  Plenty solitaire boardgaming available, along with some mini painting which my zen equivalent.

I just finished a quick game of Warfighter last night, and will probably move on to a solo learning session with Dead of Winter.  Painting either Sentinel Tactics or Super Dungeon Explore minis, and learning the chosen system, for a possible game next week.

MetalDog.. I thought you were gonna put this other old song up when I saw the thread title..

Nefaro, I haven't thought about that song in at LEAST twenty five years!  It was the only song on that album that was any good.  Which further strengthened my opinion that GnR had exactly one good album.  Sucks when your debut is as good as it's going to get for you :)

That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw the title too.  That was a catchy song

Here's a live show version

"I will return before you can say 'antidisestablishmentarianism'."

So Guns and Roses used to be "hill billy" before they went glam rock?

No offence intended...I just don't know much about GnR except that they produced some songs in the '90's that I liked

'Appetite for Destruction,' was a balls out, in your face, blast of, "F*** Y**!"  Oddly, it was released in July of 1987, but didn't really take off until spring of 1988.  It was THE soundtrack to our summer in '88.  Everything after that was less fierce, more bloated and not as entertaining as 'Appetite...,' was.

Cyrano

Doug squeaked out a win in PzB this week so I'm seeking my vengeance in the same battle, just up one level in PzC.  From both experiences I conclude that NO ONE had a good time at Kursk.

CMBS PBEM (also Doug).

Vance teases me with a promise of a Normandy PzC turn!!

Leipzig tournament where, again, the scenario is a bit unbalanced.  The French are pantsing the Allies in both of my mirror games.

Completing W@W review.  Forgot what a fun system that is...makes me want to let Doug smash my face in at at OF:RS again.  Also, and I'm a bit shame-faced to admit it, didn't know that Cap'n D. had his mitts all over this system...it all starts to make sense now.

Scenario of the Month over at the Blitz in CM:MG where things are going, erm, badly for the Seaforth Highlanders.  No really, really, badly.

Best,

Jim

Toonces

The only thing I'm ready to commit to right now is ARMA 3, which I'll be playing as soon as I get caught up on what's going on here.

I'm considering several other games, including Scourge of War, Combat Mission: Battles in Normandy, and maybe going back to Red Orchestra/Rising Storm for a bit.

Oh, and continuing Morrowind.

I love to mp because it gives me a chance to play games with friends.  However, my constant Civ BtS mp friend is the all time worst at being slow.  Granted, the game by its very nature induces caution and planning, but, some of my wait times with him are interminable!  And yes, I have been known to take a fair bit of time in executing my turn, but, I wish you could experience this.  I've actually timed some of his longer turns and they stretch past fifteen minutes.

That's the whole reason I stopped MP, turns just took forever in most games :/

Not that I don't love you all...

W8taminute

Started playing some Gary Grisby's War in the East thanks to Judge!  Man this game is huge but so far on turn two of my 'alternate Barbarossa Campaign 1941-1945' all is going well.  I've probably overextended myself as the Germans and my supply is most likely going to hurt me but I've blasted my way through to Lithuania and half of Byelorussia.  Army group south has yet to activate.  The Rumanians and Hungarians have tons of units to contribute but so far they are not movable.
