(Well we can't let Endless Space be the only 4x title getting all the love! ;) )

Iceberg Interactive has announced they've signed a publishing deal with Zero Sum Studios, the developer of StarDrive.  As Iceberg is also the European publisher for Armada 2526 Supernova -- another fine 4x game (which most of you already know I'm a devotee of) -- I find this to be excellent news.

In addition, the game has a new/updated website, including new forums and a whole slew of new screenshots.  Come check it out if you haven't already!

I was just thinking about this one because of the Kickstarter discussion in the other thread. Glad to see it is moving forward, because I was a little worried at the lack of word!

Oh, I forgot to add this bit:

Dan (the main developer) just mentioned on the site's new forums that the game should be feature-complete sometime in July.  And for those who didn't read and/or only skimmed Iceberg's announcement, it appears they're aiming for a Q4 2012 release.  Yay!

Yeah, things had been pretty quiet there for a while.

I'm gathering this is partially because Dan was finalizing the publishing deal with Iceberg...and partially -- and perhaps more pertinently -- because his philosophy appears to be that the less time he spends talking about the game (including releasing news updates), the more time he has to actually work on it.  8)  A bit frustrating, admittedly, but I can't really fault his logic!

Well it doesn't entirely clear things up, but Dan had this to say on the subject:
QuoteDesura is the official alpha/beta platform for StarDrive until such time as we move forward on other digital platforms. Every patch during the alpha and beta period will go to Desura.

I like Iceberg Interactive...have been buying many games during the last year from them...they usually include a poster, a physical manual and no drm  :)

^ I hope StarDrive turns out as awesome as Endless Space is turning out to be!
