New crop of HBO/Showtime, etc. shows

In the wake of the season ender of GoT, there is a wave of new premium pay-cable shows.  For me, the cream of the crop, so far, has been Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell.  It is the 'alt.history' tale of the reawakening of magic in England during the Napoleonic Wars.



Coming in second (IMHO) is Ballers, the story of an ex-NFL player trying to make a living as an employee of a financial management company trying to recruit pro-athletes as clients.



Finally, The Brink, a disappointing tale of comedic escapades during a geo-political conflict.  It is growing on me, but still, it comes in last in my books.
