I fired up a game yesterday at Normal difficulty and chose the Island map.

Man, it's a heck of a lot tougher than I expected. Just when I thought I'd launch an amphibious assault on another island...ZAP! They enemy mage would drop an AOE on my fleet and roast it. This is not an easy map.
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

I wish I didn't get a black screen of death on load up.

You need to cast a 'dispell curse' on your laptop! :)
If it looks like chicken, tastes like chicken, and feels like chicken but Chuck Norris says its beef, then it's beef.

If women had apostrophes instead of periods they would be even more possessive!

As soon as I learn it.  In the mean time I'm hurling curses at the developers!

Get rid of all the crap software that came with your laptop...other than your OS. It gave me way more stability and speed.
My doctor wrote me a prescription for daily sex.

My wife insists that it says dyslexia but what does she know.

Actually my laptop only came with the OS and essential software for the track pad and webcam.  I think it's in a video codec somewhere.

Very likely if you have a discreet video card. My laptop (HP) misbehaved until I flash upgraded my BIOS

Yeah that's a good idea.   I'll need to look into the Bios.

The Koatl Village (and it's Koatl units) aren't new - they're already in the game.  But you could only build the Koatl village on one of the rare terrain types that you don't often see.  This DLC gives a new Mage that can build them every game.  8)  And they're pretty badass for their cost too - I've used them before.  ;D

I've been playing this solidly since I downloaded it, its been a long time since a PC game grabbed my attention to this extent. Very addictive indeed.

Thanks. Glad to hear you like it.

Kinda looking forward to multi-player.  Since everyone & their dead grandmother owns it now, it will likely be easy to get a big game going in the future.

MP would certainly tip me over into buy-mode. Of course, I need practice first, so I probably need to buy it now  :D
