QuoteSome other things I learned.

Ghosts are the best siege unit IMO unless you can build dwarves. They are usually immune to attacks from the castle so they can just keep attacking without any help. I had 4 of them and they would take out a city in 6-7 turns.

Trolls aren't bad either.

Towards the end I was able to upgrade my Dwarf unit. I can't recall what it was called but it was absolutely the best siege unit. I used it to attack a city. It did 175 hit points on the first attack. Needless to say the city didn't hold out long  :)

Agreed. I had a seriously upgraded Dwarf unit that rocked. But absent them, I used Ghosts and Trolls. I consider a Dracolich also essential. They can devastate three units at once with its breath weapon.

Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

I never got a Dracolich. Did you build it or was it given to you?
If it looks like chicken, tastes like chicken, and feels like chicken but Chuck Norris says its beef, then it's beef.

If women had apostrophes instead of periods they would be even more possessive!

Both. There is a ruin somewhere that unlocks it.

Otherwise you need to develop the Undead unit tree.

Quote from: Svend Karlson on June 04, 2012, 03:03:57 PMGiven how popular this animal is, I'd expect to be eaten alive by all you wolves if I didn't first sharpen my teeth in SP  ;)

I am curious to see how MP games go. The AI is not particularly aggressive even at the toughest levels. I think we'll all have some serious learning to do with real brains behind each faction.

One thing I predict: mayhem.

I think a big GrogHeads MP game would be a ton of fun to play and hilarious material for an AAR. :)

I think that's a great idea.

Once again, The Tent proves he's got more at stake (get it? ha!) than just some canvas.

I think you crossed some kind of line with that kind of corn.  :P

Oh dear god I downloaded the demo and this is one of those games, rare games, that induces complete separation from my normal awareness of time. I don't even remember to glance at the clock more than once every couple hours. If I took a video of myself playing the game, I guess I'd just be in a trance like state, and you'd have to fast forward to see anything happen.

So yeah, I have to have it now. It is good enough for me to know that MP follows later.

hmmm, not normally my thing but may have to give it a shot. truthfully, is it really just like Civ 5 with skeletons and magic?

Naa..not exactly.  Sure, the interface is very similar, but the gameplay itself is more like a fantasy-styled Panzer General with cities you can build stuff/units in and open sandbox gameplay.

Argh! - Thats it, you know you've OD'd a game when you start to dream about playing it....I must take a break - Warlock fatigue!

I may buy the adds soon though :-)
