DCS Combined Arms

I saw DCS Combined Arms is on flash sale this weekend for 6 bucks.  I don't know how many of you have it, but I think it's very much worth it at that price.  The vehicles are not nearly as fleshed out as Steel Beasts or even ARMA, but the ability to integrate them with all of the flying machines is pretty awesome.

I think it would be spectacular if we could get enough Grogheads on board with CA to do some force v. force MP. 

I know I'm the king of encouraging everyone to buy something and then end up not playing it (aka The Ship) but...well, just buy it, ok?

I have it too ... i am all for Groghead MP action  O0 (how about Arma3? )

i still remember those COD4  action  with Jarhead, LongBlade,  et alii  ....years ago were i had set my alamclock  to zero darkhundered to participate :D 

and later had a tool that monitored the server population numbers (reported on a webside) and woke me up when 4 or more had gathered  8)

It integrates with DCS: World, which is a free download and comes with the Su-25T (which is in and of itself a pretty interesting plane to fly).

I'm all for ARMA 3, too, but CA is a much bigger scale game.  And it's cheap.  A 2v2 game would probably be pretty fun.  I don't know, though, I've never done MP in CA, only quick missions.

I actually feel that it sucks.  It's more like EA's Battlefield.  But maybe at 6 bucks, it's worth to try out.

In my experience it is not much of a ground simulation.  I used it to generate moving targets for aircraft.  You do get some command options
with it though, I think, that make it an interesting addition to DCS.  These days I just work on flying planes and not so much on shooting at complex ground targets.

I remember the COD4 games as well.  You guys could use the grogheads steam group for mp coordination.  Even add non-steam games so you have the overlay running.  Works great for the iron front group I play in.
